Bible study for beginners
The founder of Febe Bible Studies is Carla Heuvelman. She is 46 years old and lives with her husband and children in the pleasant town of Rijssen in the Netherlands. You can contact her to write articles or as a speaker on the theme 'Being unique'. You can also contact us for personalized articles, for example a card with your favorite Bible text.
'I have been active in the Reformed Church in Rijssen for more than 20 years. First mainly in clubs and catechism, in recent years as hostess and working group member of the Open Schildkerk.
In my spare time I often do crafts. In the corona time, those things came together: to encourage fellow churchgoers, I shared a hand-lettered card with Bible text every week (later every other week) in our church's app group.
Because many activities were canceled during this period, I had more free time. I then started writing Bible studies, which I used to do often for catechism and other church work. But now mainly in themes. In June 2022 I published my first Bible study booklet on the theme 'Unique'.
I published it under the name Febe Bible Studies. Like a kind of umbrella where you can hang more things under.
Febe is an inspiring person from the Bible to me. She is not well known, but Paul writes that she has done important things. You can read about it in Romans 16 verse 1 and 2.
She probably brought a letter from Paul to the church in Rome. He asks the congregation if they want to take good care of her because she has taken good care of him and others.
That makes me think she's a brave woman. And it shows that you can do a lot of important work in the background in God's kingdom. It does not always have to be visible (to people) in order to mean something to someone else.
In her footsteps I also want to mean something to others. Through this site, the booklet I wrote and what I write on Febe's Facebook site, I hope to be a source of inspiration so that people grow in faith.'
